Rubesco Vigna Monticchio Riserva 2017, Lungarotti
Deep ruby red in colour, the Lungarotti Monticchio Riserva 2017 has intense notes of sour cherries, liquorice and a mineral background, closing in a finish with particularly persistent tannins. Blended with a combination of Sangiovese and Canaiolo. Right from the start, the flavour is powerful with great concentration and releases a clear hint of jam. Featuring a well-balanced structure that is fruity, and slightly balsamic with a long-lasting finish, this soft red wine pairs well with a variety of dishes including Peking duck, roast beef with wasabi and aged cheeses.
Rubesco Torgiano 2019, Lungarotti
Without doubt the most well-known of Lungarotti's wines. Blended with a combination of Sangiovese and Colorino grapes. Deep ruby red colour with slight violet hues, on the nose the Lungarotti Rubesco Torgiano 2019 has a delicate and good intensity, an elegant complexity with hints of pepper, cinnamon and tobacco. Background notes of red jam and violet. On the palate a solid structure with superb concentration that evolves with fresh acidity, austere, balanced tannins with a fruity and slightly mineral finish. This red wine pairs well with a variety of dishes including barbecued foods, roast beef, rotisserie chicken and slightly aged cheese.
Montefalco Ziggurat 2023, Lunelli
Ruby red in colour, the Lunelli Montefalco Ziggurat 2020 has a broad aroma of cherries and cloves which give way to spice and tobacco. Elegant on the palate, splendid balance and powerful, yet it is very fresh. Well-balanced this red wine pairs well with meat and cheese. Grape: Sangiovese, Sagrantino, Cab Sauvignon, Merlot.
Sangiovese Il Pometo 2018, Lungarotti
Brillant violet-red colour, the Lungarotti Sangiovese Il Pometo 2018 has a complex aroma of green spices, pepper and cinnamon with slightly buttery notes of marasca cherry. Excellent structure, fruity evolution, balanced tannins and a long-lasting finish. It pairs well with a variety of dishes including pasta, risotto, barbecued foods, cold cuts, pizza, quiches and spicy foods.
