Beef stews, braised dishes and casseroles, is best served with this wine. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese. Â Best after 2005. 91 point rating.

Featuring a dark ruby color, the Toscana Solaia, Antinori 1997 has extremely ripe raisin and spice aromas. Full-bodied and very chewy, with loads of polished tannins and a long, long finish. With a bright ruby-garnet color, the Bolgheri Sassicaia 1996 is a blend of Cabernet Franc – Cabernet Sauvignon and is well-structured with plenty of blackberry and dried herb character.  The intense blackberry and cassis aromas, offset by notes of smoke and spice, are confirmed on a palate of lush concentration underscored by firm, ripe tannins carrying into a long, elegant finish. Pairs well with beef and venison.

Featuring a rich light gold colour, deep but transparent, creaminess and crunchiness, the Planeta Chardonnay has a slight mineral touch, flavours of ripe yellow peaches, honey and marzipan, and toasted almond aromas. Soft, supported by a refreshing note of acidity that follows every mouthful. Powerful and balanced finish, this soft white wine is an ideal pairing for seared foie gras or with roast veal and mushroom sauce. 100% Chardonnay.
