Young and Intense, dark ruby red, the Casanova di Neri St. Antimo Pietradonice 2017 nose is highly complex, expressing hints of ink powerful and at the same time complex red fruit. The tannins texture in thick and consistent, silky and round, the finish is of rare persistence, suggesting a remarkable aging potential. With dense tannins and a sweet persistence, this wine pairs well with grilled meat, game and aged cheeses. Aged in oak barrels 18 months, this 2000 vintage was the first produced. The name comes from the very rich stone found in the earth. 94 point rating.

Sangiovese grape known in Montepulciano as Prugnolo gentile 85%, blended with Ciliegiolo 15% and Colorino. An earthy underbrush aroma mingles with scents of plum and prune, with just a hint of flint in the background. This is impressive for its wonderful purity and beautiful velvety texture which gains power and depth with each second it sits in the glass. It displays incredible balance and finesse all the way through the ultra-long, caressing finish. Rich, complex and well-balanced, this wine is an excellent choice to savour with beef, lamb, game and poultry dishes. This is a phenomenal showing and only begins to reveal its true potential after several hours of air contact. You will have to look long and hard to find a better Brunello in this vintage. Torre di Giano 2023, Lungarotti

This white wine is an excellent choice as an aperitif, paired with bruschetta and croutons. It is also an ideal match for pasta with vegetables, fish and seafood and onion soup. Grapes blended with Vermentino, Trebbiano and Grechetto.
